+Lauren Cox is a Licensed Professional Counselor-Intern supervised by Tamara Allen, LPC-S. Ms. Cox received her undergraduate degree from The University of North Texas with a B. A. in Psychology and a minor in Drug Abuse and Addiction. She received her graduate degree from The University of North Texas with an M.S. in Rehabilitation Counseling. Lauren was born and raised in the Fort Worth area and continues to live in DFW. She has previously worked at a behavioral health hospital, a residential substance abuse treatment program, and with the Texas Juvenile Justice Department. Through these different roles, Ms. Cox has worked with youth and adolescents, adults, families, and couples with a variety of backgrounds. She has an eclectic approach to her therapy style including, but not limited to, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Holistic Therapy. 

Lauren takes great pride in providing therapeutic counseling services to individuals and families. It is her goal to engage, equip, and encourage others to see the possibilities that life has to offer them and for them to ultimately acquire personal health and happiness. Through a therapeutic relationship, Ms. Cox hopes to help guide individuals in discovering their strengths and abilities and to be able to manage what life throws at them, no matter how difficult, how easy, how big, or how small. 

In her free time, Ms. Cox is a proud mother and dog mom who enjoys being outdoors with her two boys, whether it is going to the park, running, or just being silly in the backyard. She very much enjoys crafting, baking, and cooking, the Rangers and Cowboys, and spending time with her large family.

 
+Andrea Smith-Love is a Licensed Professional Counselor who began her career at Lena Pope in 2015 as a family counselor with the Juvenile Drug Court Program. Andrea has served families and children in the social services sector since 2005. Additionally, Andrea’s research and program evaluation experience has provided the opportunity to be an agent of change in the community. It is Mrs. Love’s desire to help client’s navigate through life’s challenges with compassion and a judgment free environment. Mrs. Love considers it a privilege to be offered an opportunity journey on the road to healing and hope with her clients.

Originally from Fort Worth, Andrea obtained an undergraduate degree from Bennett College in Greensboro, North Carolina and a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from Amberton University in Garland, Texas. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, working out, volunteerism, and an avid Dallas Cowboys fan.
