SUPERVISOR:   Director of Finance

 

PRIMARY FUNCTION: 

  • Accounts Payable:
    • Process vendor invoices, employee reimbursements, and other payables accurately and efficiently.
    • Review and verify invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports for proper documentation and approval.
    • Prepare and process payments via checks, ACH transfers, and electronic payments.
    • Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies with vendors or internal stakeholders.
    • Maintain vendor records, including contact information, payment terms, and tax identification numbers.
    • Ability to process 1099’s and 1095 annually.
  • Accounts Receivable:
    • Generate and distribute invoices for contract invoices in a timely manner.
    • Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on outstanding balances to ensure timely collection.
    • Process incoming payments and apply them to the appropriate accounts accurately.
    • Reconcile accounts receivable transactions and resolve discrepancies with internal stakeholder.
  • General:
    • Collaborate with the Finance team to support month-end and year-end close processes.
    • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, budgets, and reports as needed.
    • Support the annual audit process by providing documentation and explanations related to accounts payable, and accounts receivable.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Educational/Certification:
    • An associate degree in accounting, Finance, or related field. Or currently in the process of working on a bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
    • Minimum of 0-2 year of accounting experience, with experience in accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
    • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of MIP/Abila and/or Microix is a plus.
    • An understanding of accounting principles and regulations, including GAAP for nonprofit organizations.

    • Driver’s license required.
